Petrolheads are used to seeing professionals change wheels on a race car in a couple of seconds thanks to all the new tech they get to use. But how about just good, old-fashioned changes that use no electronics and no aids? How fast can the wheels of a car be changed using just wrenches and mechanical jacks?
Four daring mechanics from Germany decided to give it their best shot, not knowing that they will end up breaking the current world record for the fastest wheel change in the world.

The attempt took place at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz in Klettwitz, Brandenburg, Germany on May 31st, 2015 and involved four employees from kfzteile24, a company from Germany, of course.

In the video below, you can watch them work, without using any electric tools and managing to change all four wheels in 59.62 seconds, breaking the previous fastest run by no less than 24.23 seconds.

It might look like nothing much is happening, but it really seems to be the fastest a team of four mechanics changed the wheels on a car without hep from electric tools whatsoever.

Truth be told, I think they can do it even faster if they put their minds to it. As you can see the two guys working, the rear wheels are slower because they also have to raise and lower the car. At the same time, they didn’t finish altogether, so I think that those men finishing faster could help the others finish their work instead of just sitting around. Either way, we applaud them for their performance. We’re pretty sure they’re next attempt will be faster.
