When Bell first spoke about the Bullitt helmet back in October 2013, it said that this retro helmet was due March 1. Though a couple of months late, if hipster-ish, retro lids are your thing, it’s a great time to rejoice, as the Bell Bullitt is here.
Drawing its cues from the initial Bell Star helmet, the Bullitt brings back the attire of yesteryear’s lids. Round and strangely pleasant, and with an exceptionally clean and sleek design, the Bullitt is the perfect complement for an old motorcycle or a retro-styled one, such as a Bonneville or Moto Guzzi V7. It weighs 1.4 kg (3.1 lbs) and comes with 5 metal mesh-covered front vents, and is AS, DOT and EC certified, meaning you can wear it in the US, Australia and Europe.

It comes with a perforated micro-suede liner and a leather trim, with a removable and washable interior, a 3-shell EPS system under the composite shell and has 3d cut cheek pads for excellent comfort through the day. Multiple colors are available and it can be worn with or without a face shield. If however, you don’t fancy bugs in your mouth too much, you can choose a flat or a bubble visor.

The Bell Bullitt can be yours for $399.95 (€289). Not exactly the cheapest lid out there, but by far a strong statement for the fans of retro bike fashion.
