The Alfa Romeo Giulia has finally made a debut and yes, it's a molto bella piece of engineering that promises enough performance to make the German BMW M3 - Mercedes-AMG C63 wet their beds.
We'll see about that last part, as now we're focusing on a wagon version for the Giulia. That's right, but don't think about it as an official version, because it's not.
The rendering comes from X-Tomi Design and confirms that handsome cars are born to look good in every imaginable guise. Basically, all that's changed is the rear end, but as you can see, the beauty factor is still there. Looking at Giulia's engine line-up, we would buy a potential wagon version in no time, no matter if the beating heart under the hood were a 1.4, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 or 3.0-liter turbo aggregate.
Sure, we'd like to fool people between two traffic lights by letting them think we're devoted family guys, only to make them watch the car's taillights as we pass them by in a flash, courtesy of the 3.0-liter V6 carrying 510 horsepower.
Also, Alfa Romeo claims the Giulia will have "the most direct steering on the market", so let's just take a moment and think about what would that work on a Giulia wagon, on a winding road, during your family road trip: not pretty for those sitting in the back, if you know what I mean.
Our only disappointment - in fact, there are two - is the wagon won't happen anytime soon. Our second regret is the lack of a rendering that would show the car from behind. We bet the quad exhaust system works like a charm on that nicely rounded back, visually speaking.
