2015 Nissan Titan Diesel HP, Torque Numbers Leaked

About six months ago Nissan announced that the next-generation Titan pickup truck will gain a Cummins turbo diesel V8 engine that will produce more than 300 horsepower and mid-500 pound-feet of torque.

While the Japanese automaker has yet to announce final figures for the diesel truck, TFL Truck reveals, quoting an unnamed source, that the vehicle will be launched with no more than 275 horsepower and a massive 560 pound-feet of torque.

Little is known about the Cummins-powered Titan, but Nissan is currently undergoing extensive performance and durability testing, which means it could be introduced later this year as a 2015 model. The Titan will become the second full-size truck in America to offer a diesel option and will take on the 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, which was launched last year.

Meanwhile, Nissan unveiled the Frontier Diesel Runner Concept at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, a truck powered by a 2.8-liter Cummins turbo diesel mill that delivers “nearly 200” horsepower and “more than 350” pound-feet of torque.
